During the weekends, I try to do ad-hoc makeup jobs for clients involved in wedding shoots or formal dinners, to earn some extra income on the side and to build up my professional makeup portfolio. Thoughts on Luxury Products
“Currently, I am saving my money to buy an HDB flat with my boyfriend, and to pay off my loan for my Honda Jazz car. Also, as I have only started working a few years ago, I feel that I am not financially stable enough to splurge on luxury goods.
However, I believe first impressions are extremely important as a sales representative and a sideline makeup artist. And yes, branded bags, wallets and shoes do help to boost that first impression your customers have of you. When I have enough money to spare on luxury goods, my first step will definitely be to buy a branded bag – probably Louis Vuitton, Prada or Chanel. I’ll definitely be proud of it as well. It would be both a personal reward as well as a sign to others like, “hey, I worked hard for this money”
